RESISTANCE BEGINS AT THE NORTH STAR
We are the Handmaids of Minnesota — peaceful resisters committed to defending reproductive freedom, the rule of law, and equal protection under the law for all. Inspired by the symbolism of The Handmaid’s Tale, a 1985 futuristic dystopian novel written by Margaret Atwood, we call attention to the erosion of fundamental rights and the importance of due process and justice in a free society. Our mission is to safeguard bodily autonomy, decry authoritarianism, defend democracy, and ensure that every person’s rights are protected equally — in Minnesota and across the nation.
